Hand Wired Blues Junior III Conversion - $599
This unique amp is based on a Hofmann BJ Conversion with several custom circuit mods. It's a great sounding 15w single channel Class AB amp that's has a traditional Fender pre-amp circuit with an added Marshall-style "cold-clipper" gain stage. The result is a fantastically versatile and responsive cascading gain amp that can go from warm cleans, to Marshall-like growl & crunch, to blistering overdriven leads. The low wattage power section allows you to overdrive either the pre-amp, power amp or both together. It has a fat switch to notch up the gain and a "meat" control for additional tone shaping. With a boost from an external overdrive pedal it will jump easily into high-gain territory. This amp responds extremely well to low and medium gain pickups.
What's been replaced? - It has a completely new hand-wired circuit, including, Mallory 150 and F and T Caps, Alpha pots, Switchcraft jacks, tube circuit board, new tube sockets, upgraded Heyboer power transformer, new Hammond Choke in the power supply, bias adjustment, on/standby/off switch, and all new tubes.
What's original? - Output transformer, chassis, cabinet, and Eminence USA-Made "Fender Special Design" speaker.
